Lake Jackson Largemouth Bass Fishing Report
February 2003

February 5, 2003

Water temperature: 46-49°F

The main lake is light stained and 46-49 degrees. The lake is way down and this is a good time to get a look at normally underwater structure. Fishing is generally slow with only a few fish being caught late in the day. Spots can be caught near the dam on carolina rigged watermelon seed finesse worms on rocky points. They are holding in 12-15 foot of water. Largemouths can be caught by flipping docks in 8-10 foot of water with 3/8 oz jigs with a Zoom craw as a chunck. Good color is brown and black with green pumpkin craw. Some crappie fishermen are out dragging jigs, but not catching many yet.

These fishing reports were prepared by Aaron Batson and Jerry Whitlock from current personal fishing trips. Copyright © 2002-2005 fishoconee.com.
