Bass fishing is fair to good. The bass are scattered all over the lake. They can be caught shallow and deep. The shallow fish are holding on sunny rock and red clay banks in 3-6 foot of water. Small crankbaits like #5 and #7 Shad Raps and Little Earls in natural shad colors seem to produce best. Up the lake, in stained water, a firetiger color works best. Also fish are still being caught on rip-rap with 1/2 oz black/chart jigs with green pumpkin Zoom super chunks. The edges and corners of the rip-rap with sun hitting are best. The docks in 5-8 foot of water will also still produce a big bite on the jig. Expect the bite to be very light, watch for any line movement as the jig falls and set the hook. The mid-lake area is producing some fish on the points and humps on 3/4 oz Hopkins spoons. Look for bait in the 18-24 foot range and work the spoon on the edges of the shad schools. There will normally be more hybrids than largemouths caught on the spoon, but it can produce well at times.
